Former LAPD Officer Sentenced For Sexually Assaulting Teen

A former Los Angeles police officer was sentenced today to two years in state prison after pleading no contest to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl last year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Robert Cain (dob 4/17/86) entered his plea to one felony count each of oral copulation of a person under the age of 16 and unlawful sexual intercourse. He was immediately sentenced by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Horwitz who ordered lifetime sex registration for the defendant.

Cain befriended the girl who was a Los Angeles police cadet, the prosecutor said. On June 14, 2017, Cain is accused of sexually assaulting the girl.
