Alleged Gang Members from Houston Charged in Bank Jugging Case

Seven Houston residents have been charged with conspiring to follow and then rob bank customers, a practice known as bank jugging, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Arraignment for two of the defendants, Darrian Dejuan Haywood and Adrian Deon Caldwell, is scheduled for today in Department 4 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Torrance Branch.

The defendants operated out of a motel in Inglewood where they conspired to rob bank customers in Torrance, Van Nuys and Rowland Heights, according to details in the criminal complaint. Case YA097532 was filed Jan. 19.

The charges include attempted second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary of a vehicle and conspiracy to commit robbery with allegations that all of the crimes were committed for the benefit of and in association with a criminal street gang.

Those charged in the complaint are as follows:·       Trey Natheniel Dickerson (dob 9/12/92) is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree robbery, one count of second-degree burglary of a vehicle and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 35 years to life in state prison, plus a possible additional sentence of 19 years if convicted as charged.

· Sebastian Demond Glass (dob 6/14/97) is charged with two counts each of attempted seconddegree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 29 years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged.

· Shai Trymaine Fields (dob 1/29/93) is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree robbery, one count of second-degree burglary of a vehicle and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 29 years in state prison if convicted as charged.

· Darrian Dejuan Haywood (dob 2/23/90) faces two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 21 years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged.

· Adrian Deon Caldwell (dob 2/23/91) is charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 19 years and four months in prison if convicted as charged.

· Cedric Fleming (dob 9/28/89) faces two counts of attempted second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. His maximum possible sentence is 36 years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged.

· Beshundra Tucker (dob 3/21/82) is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. Her maximum possible sentence is 36 years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged.

Dickerson, Glass and Fields pleaded not guilty on Jan. 19, and Fleming and Tucker pleaded not guilty on Feb. 2. Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 27 in Department 8 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Torrance.

The case remains under investigation by the Torrance Police Department.
